When you join the AAPDB as a Probationary member, your full name, breeder identification number, phone number and local government area will be published on the AAPDB web site automatically.
This is done in order to allow members of the public to check that a person claiming to be a member is in fact currently registered with the AAPDB.
When you become a Full member you have the opportunity to advertise your contact details (and web site address if you have one) but you can choose to continue with minimal contact information if you wish. No other details will be provided to anyone without your written approval. Membership details will only be available to the Executive Committee Members of the AAPDB (President, Compliance Officer, Treasurer and Secretary)
However you must be aware that each state Government has requirements for information to be made available to specific individuals or organisations if the AAPDB is an Approved Entity in that State.
In Australia, approved entities are required to provide information to:
- Department of Agriculture and Fisheries,and Department of primary industries in order to perform its functions under this Act and the Animal Care and Protection Act in each relevant state or territory.
And, on request to:
- RSPCA in order to perform its functions ,
- Local government, in order to perform functions under the relevant act for each state or territory,
- A police officer who is monitoring or enforcing compliance or performing functions in relation to an animal or an animal welfare offence; and
- An authorised officer under the Racing Integrity Act 2016 who is performing functions in relation to an animal or an animal welfare offence.
Before you proceed with your membership you must acknowledge that you have read this information and that you agree to our privacy policy.

Welcome to the Australian Association of Pet Dog Breeders Inc website (the Website), which is owned and operated by The Australian Association of Pet Dog Breeders Incorporated (we, us, our, or AAPDB Inc).

The material on the AAPDB Website, including the software, design, text, images and graphics comprised in the AAPDB Website and the selection and layout of the AAPDB Website are owned or under license by the Australian Association of Pet Dog Breeders Inc (AAPDB) and protected by Australian and international laws.
Your use of the AAPDB Website does not grant you a licence or act as a right of use of any of the trademarks or logos, whether registered or unregistered, that are displayed on the AAPDB Website without the express written permission of the trademark owner.
AAPDB owns the copyright, which subsists in all creative and literary works that are displayed on the AAPDB Website.

Indemnity:
By using the AAPDB Website, you agree to indemnify the AAPDB from and against all actions, claims, suits, demands, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses (whether in tort or in contract including and without limitation, negligence) arising out of or in any way connected to the use of the AAPDB Website by you.
Disclaimer:

The Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of New South Wales, Australia and Courts of Appeal from them for determining any dispute concerning the Terms of Use.
